Polk County is serious about soccer! The six field Lake Parker Soccer Complex hosts the prestigious Memorial Weekend Soccer Championships draws in excess of 180 teems annually, the Host Events 3 on 3 Southeast Championship and National Championships, and the Tampa Bay Sun Bowl. Both professional and amateur teams have found Polk County "soccer friendly" including the Estonian National Team and Tampa Bay Rowdies Professional Soccer Team. International competitions have also been staged at the 5,000 seat Bryant Stadium in Lakeland.
